"Yet another Chris Harris video..." you say, though you know you're not complaining. Drive network's Chris Harris has been known to have driven and ridden in countless cars, everything from modern supercars to historic rally cars, but has he ever been pitted against a motorcycle? Nope, until now of course. The Ducati 1199 Panigale is the weapon of choice that Harris will face, and what does Harris get? Well, a Porsche GT2 RS of course. It says its a "drag race", but this video also does a fine job of reviewing both cars, so enjoy.
Jeremy Foly's Evo Crash At Pikes Peak
Even with fully paved roads, the dreaded Pikes Peak hill climb event is still as dangerous as ever, and Mitsubishi Evo driver Jeremy Foly does a great job of supporting that statement. During his attempt at conquering the 2012 Pikes Peak hill climb, Foly misjudges a barrier-less corner and flies straight off, dropping around 20 feet and then rolling for what seems like ages. After the rocky carnage, what remains of the Evo is predictable - a roll cage and engine, but what remains of the driver and co-driver is not - they both survive, with minimal injuries. Something tells me that there was more than a roll cage protecting these guys. Enjoy.
A Hot Lap In A Lamborghini Aventador via MotorTrend
The 700hp Lamborghini Aventador has been around for quite some time now and is definitely not lacking in the looks and intimidation department, but how does it handle on a race track? Well, it seems like MotorTrend has the answer to that question as professional race car driver Randy Pobst takes the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador for a hot lap on the famed Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca race track located in California. So can it corner? Watch the video to find out. Enjoy.
Rhys Millen Hyundai Record Run At Pikes Peak 2012
Continuing with more coverage from the 2012 Pikes Peak hill climb event, here we have none other than the legendary Rhys Millen, with - unsurprisingly - a Hyundai. This is no ordinary Hyundai though, as you can tell by the monstrous speed and noise it makes as it rockets Mr Millen straight into the history books, shattering Monster Tajima's record run by FIVE seconds. Five seconds may not seem like a lot, but in the racing world, not to mention on one of the most dangerous uphill tracks on the planet - Five seconds is otherworldly. Enjoy.
Track Day Crashes
We all know that track days can be some of the most exhilarating moments in our car-loving worlds, and we know that they can be dangerous too - but how dangerous can they really get? Well, according to this video, if you don't think that ramming your car into barriers, hills, tires, or other cars, then track days aren't dangerous at all. Enjoy.
