The 1.0-liter EcoBoost three cylinder engine that is in the new Ford Focus - which has been named 2012 International Engine of the Year - has gone into a Formula-One race-car that Ford has been developing for a few months now. Now, you don’t hear a lot about Ford in the news besides them being bailed out and all, but they do have a long history in motor racing. Yeah, by looking at what they have for sale in the US, I would have never guessed, but thanks to a few simple modifications such as headlights, indicator lights, horn, etc. this now street legal car has gone round the Nurburgring faster than a Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Aventador, and Pagani Zonda. |
