Is it just me, or has Aston Martin been so busy giving all of their cars to James Bond that they didn't even think to keep a few for themselves? "And what would they need to keep a few to themselves for?", you might ask. The answer: improvement, but what could they possibly do to make the consistently prestigious, nearly flawless Aston Martin brand even better than it already is? "What about a roadster?", you might ask, but it took them nearly 3 years to chop the top off of their twelve-cylinder baby, so how could they possibly have another roadster out so quickly? Well, I don't know, but apparently Aston Martin doesn't sleep, because the Roadster version of the V12 Vantage is here, and it'll blow your socks off - as all the Aston Martins do. And if you don't have socks, then say goodbye to your feet.

Aston Martin unofficially previous the future DBS replacement at Concorso d'Eleganza this past weekend. The car is still going by it's concept name, "Project AM310" but has been confirmed to be going to the production line and will be replacing the current DBS model. Improving on an already fantastic car is like injecting Chuck Norris into the word perfect. How much better can it get? Aston Martin is a company I commonly associate with near-perfection. In fact, rather than telling my wife that I aspire to be a perfect human being, I tell her that I just want to be an Aston Martin. She doesn’t get it. Just like no one will get the Chuck Norris reference, but that’s the point – Aston Martin doesn’t make sense at all. Every time that I look at a Vanquish, DBS, or the Rapide; I ask myself, how can all of these look the same, but be uniquely different in their own way?

Today marks a historical day for Aston Martin as they officially unveil their V12 Zagato. Dr. Ulrich Bez, Chief Executive of Aston Martin, claims the Zagato “is destined to be one of the most highly coveted models in Aston Martin’s 98-year history.” That is certainly a strong claim to make, especially considering the fact that, in my opinion, nearly every Aston Martin is already coveted.
